University of North Florida School of Communication

 Project Details:

I was tasked with creating a flyer for the School of Communication’s annual Media Week event. The flyer was posted around the University of North Florida campus and used to promote the event on social media.

The client provided me with information that they wanted on the flyer, along with their Social Media Expo logo. They also wanted a link to their website, so I created a QR code for students to scan when they passed the flyer in the hallways.

University of North Florida Multimedia Club

Project Details:

As social media coordinator for the UNF Multimedia Club, I created graphics for social media, flyers for club events, and the logo for our social media sites.

Since its creation, the Instagram page for the Multimedia Club has grown to 300 followers and each post regularly makes hundreds of impressions. Dozens of students joined the club and attended its events after interacting with the club on social media and seeing the flyers posted around campus.

AIGA Jacksonville: Design and Music Festival

Project Details:

The Jacksonville chapter of the American Institute of Graphic Arts holds an annual festival celebrating music, design, and the intersection between them.

Each artist was tasked with creating a poster inspired by a song, artist, or album of their choosing. I chose the song “Wait at Milano” by Tim Barry.

I chose the simplistic colors and textures to match the song’s acoustic, rustic style. The lyric “leave what’s left for who comes next” is exemplary of Barry’s profound lyricism and homespun wisdom. I wanted the art to combine natural and futuristic elements, so I created a flower suspended in orbit. This ties into the lyric above. “Leave what’s left for who comes next”, be it on our planet, or waiting for us among the stars.
